i have to now run my computer in safe mode

WHICH MEANS: all of my drivers dont work: including my drive to upload pictures from my camera:( so no pics from my recent trip to Hilton Head/ Savannah:(

In admitting I have a problem. I hoard.

Ok maybe not in the unhealthy kind of disturbing way you are thinking. But YALL i have a packrat problem!

Now I noticed this years ago (after poking fun at my father for collecting such randome things) that the apple doesnt fall far from the tree. It started with THINGS most in the crafting department. I would find some random, broken picture frame, a white sugar dish "I could SOO paint and make look AWESOME" and now it has spilled onto my computer!

As I was looking through my files and pictures I noticed I have collected things such as
-random recipies (even of foods im not too fond of)
-table decor ( im telling ya....I was meant to be an event planner)
- pictures of make-up styles I like
-wedding dress (Im not even engaged yet people!)
-flowers I think are pretty
-cute kids "Stuff" ( like this adorable playhouse I thought my future/maybe children would love!)
- and now that my friend is preggo...pictures of NURSERIES! (HELLO?) WHY? I'm asking myself the same question


could this be a deep down fear of missing something? On looking back and wishing I had done something different? (ex: saved that picture of the darn nursery bedding I thought would be oh so perfect for a curly headed green eyed baby girl?)...maybe....I have a problem!

If some random person saw the pics in my pic album...they would think...1. Married 2. Mother 3. possible decorator or party planner...

My BF on the other hand would probably think Ive lost it! lol

Who knows maybe all these pics will come in handy one day?!

Is this too much to ask of the weight loss/firm up my jiggle gods?

I KNOW I'M NOT FAT!

BUT...

In the last 2 years I have put on 15 lbs right smack onto my hips and thighs...and I'm seeing a little starting to rise onto muh belly...and I DON'T LIKE IT!

In high school, I wasn't what I would call a fit girl by any means. BUT i did do cheer leading for 3 years. All that jumping around yelling and looking cute in a waaayyy too short skirt, has its ways of keeping the pounds off...not to mention I was 17 and my metabolism was that of a bunny! :)

So Ive decided to

1. start eating better- as in no more "oh my GOD Ive gotta have something sweet right now" moments (especially when those come every..oh.... 2 hours or so!)

2. start working out!

and so far I'm doing pretty good!

I worked out last Thursday, Friday, Sunday and today! yay me!

Here's the plan:

Monday- workouts with my fitness loving friend

Tuesday- for now I'm walking 2 miles, in a few weeks ill start my belly dancing class! yay!

Wed-off day for me because working 7-5 and class from 6-8 doesn't allow for much exercise

Thursday- walk 2 miles

Friday- walk 2 miles

Sat- something (hiking, walking, etc)

Sunday- off

and I'm sticking to whole wheat, lots of protein, and cutting out the sugar. OH HELP ME! I'm gonna miss it!

Spring Fever of 101

Ahhh!!!!! What a perfect perfect day! J woke me up this morning and surprised me with a picnic!!! and he couldn't have picked a more perfect day! Its been cold, rainy, snowy, sleety, and BLAH in GA for the last 3 weeks! Today however was super super sunny and 60! Perfect picnic weather! He took me too some secluded land behind his parents house in North Ga. We stopped by the store on the way and bought, cheese, crackers, wine (of course!) deli meats and chocolate!:) It couldn't have been more perfect! and Rusty ( our fur baby) loved it too! Enjoy the pics!

I am SUPPOSE to start the Surgical Tech program at CTC in the summer (if I'm accepted, fingers crossed!) and I have been looking for something I can do to get a little bit of money flow coming in (i wont be able to work for a year while I'm in the program because its full time, AND ill have to take out student loans to live on BOO!) anyway...So I racked my brain for months and months and (as Ive said before) I love to craft and make things. So is the birth of

Canary Creations

yay!

It will be opening up next month on etsy.com and I Will be selling hand painted custom canvas' for nursery/children's rooms! I'm super excited! Here is just one example of what Ive painted for a nursery for a friend of mine :

It's a 16x20 Acrylic on Canvas and I think its adorable if I do say so myself!

In the future I hope to add several things to Canary If all goes well! I'm thinking, Custom Pregnancy Journals, A cute Idea I have for Custom Shower books (for like baby showers, wedding showers), Custom Painted Height Charts and a few other things!

I'm working on an adorable little girls Owl Painting right now! I'll post pics as soon as its done!

How did I spend my Valentines Day you ask? This is going to sound SOOO lame and boring! I spent my Vday watching the Daytona 500 with my Love and other couples who are very close to my heart! lol .....and....it was great fun! It was nice to be surrounded by people I love. Not just my romantic LOVE:) Yesterday Mr.Spectacular took me to the mall and told me we were here for me to SHOP! yay! sound un-romantic? I thought it was great! Ive been complaining for months about how I have no clothes and when we go out somewhere nice I feel crappy because I dont have anything nice to wear. It may not be a mushy gushy vday like most people think...but it did bring a tear to my eye. He really is listening to me! Its nice to know that even when im mindlessly ranting and raving someone is actually listening! Thanks Babe! I love you too the moon and back! always and forever! Thank you for being so amazing and loving me with your whole heart! Muah!

I believe that those who reserve Valentines Day for just their romantic loves are doing themselves a dis-service! Valentines Day is about love! What about love for your parents? Your Siblings? Love for your children? Love for your friends? Heck! Even love for your pets! This Vday spread the love to EVERYONE you hold near and dear!

I've OBVIOUSLY missed my calling!

So for YEARS now, I've been pursuing a degree/certification in the medical field. However I'm almost positive that Ive missed my calling as an event planner! I love to plan baby showers, wedding showers, bachlorette parties, lingerie showers, house warming parties, engagement parties and constantly day dream of what my perfect wedding would be! One day, maybe one day I can stop dreaming about these things and actually get a shot at doing some of the professionally!

Here is the inspiration for a baby shower I'm throwing for a friend of mine in June!

This is the color scheme we are going with! Poppy red and aqua! I LOVE it! however I want to throw in a few more touches of white so its not so overwhelming.

(also I'm pretty sure we have decided to to this little lollipop tree and the suckers will have tags that say "a new baby is so sweet" and it will be the favors!

We will be painting bird houses like this one in our color scheme and using them around the room as our decorations! We've want to pull in the nesting/bird/owl theme in a few little places! Invites, decor, a cake (if we have one)

Let me explain the no cake thing! We've decided to have a cookie and milk bar! Think assortment of warm homemade cookies and cold milk! A cute alternative to traditional cake I think! This is kind of what we have in mind!

So far that's what we've come up with! along with making some tissue poms (as seen on Marthastewart.com and doing something unique with the baby signing book) I plan on posting more as the it comes together! I'm very excited and hope that she LOVES it! Any woman willing to carry a baby around for 10 months, deal with the weight gain, gas, nausea, mood swings, constipation, swelling, and not to mention HELLO? BIRTHING A WATERMELON THROUGH A FIST SIZED HOLE! Deserves an awesome memorable Baby shower! dontcha think? :)
